All great parties start with a margarita

So let’s talk margaritas. They could be spicy, sweet, zesty or a handful of other flavors. For this recipe, we are going simple! A margarita takes me right back to the fields of Blue Weber Agave where the air is freaking bursting with aromas that scream, “THIS IS THE LAND OF TEQUILA!” While we were on an adventure to find our distiller for our sister brand, Socorro Tequila, we ended up sucking down gallons of this unreal orange juice. An exaggeration? Maybe. But all you really need to know is that the freshly squeezed orange juice were so delicious that we decided we needed to make another product for our margarita + tequila lovers. Whether it’s a slice of orange after a shot to cleanse the pallet or a douse of orange juice in a margarita - the flavors from an orange elevate your tequila experience.

Alright, sorry, that was a lot of ranting but it’s passion and excitement that got us this far. One last thing though!

The thing about this margarita is that it involves a sneaky lil ingredient, that some may even call a weapon, currency, the holy grail or liquid courage. It’s a 750ml bottle that a lot of people don’t know of but once you start using it, it becomes an addiction. Our sneaky ingredient is called JOL aka Jalisco Liqueur :)

Okay let’s get into it!

Make it

1.5 oz Socorro Tequila Añejo

1 oz Jalisco Liqueur

0.5 oz lime juice

0.5 oz orange juice

0.5 oz agave nectar

Mix all these ingredients in a glass with ice or if you have a shaker, combine all the ingredients in the shaker and pore over ice.

Tips: possible take out the orange juice for a less sweet options!
